    Here are some of the programs which are part of the Division of Teaching and Learning:
    • Arts Integration
      This is an approach to teaching where students create, produce or present or perform artistic work that shows their understanding of another academic discipline; students achieve standard objectives in both the arts and in other academic discipline; and the creative process brings together existing connections between the art form and the other academic discipline.
    • Career and Technical Education Programs
      Career and Technical Education Programs are like schools within a school. PGCPS adopted this model based on projected workforce trends and future employment opportunities within the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area
    • Curriculum and Instruction
      This office supports the school system's classroom instruction.
    • Special Education
      This office helps to ensure that students with disabilities graduate college, career, and community-ready by providing a continuum of services, specialized instruction, and related services.
    • Student Services
      This office supports instruction through counseling, health services, anti-bullying initiatives and a variety of interventions.
    • Testing, Research and Evaluation
      Oversee and monitor national, state, and county assessments, providing resources, professional development, and ongoing support to schools and offices
