• Tuesday, January 22, 2019 — PGCPS — Code Orange: PGCPS schools and offices will open with a two-hour delay.

    EMERGENCY PERSONNEL must report to work on time and are not eligible for liberal leave.

    • There will be no work-study transportation. (Those students should not report to school.)
    • There will be no half-day Early Childhood Center (ECC), half-day Special Education Programs, or half-day PreK.
    • Any other school program requiring transportation prior to 12 noon will NOT have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center, JA Finance Park, and William S. Schmidt Center (Camp Schmidt)
    • All field trips will be cancelled.
    • Food Services will offer breakfast.
    We will re-evaluate at 6:30 a.m.

    El personal de emergencia no es eligible para tomar licencia liberal, y debe presentarse a trabajar puntualmente.

    Statement of Attire Standards     
    The School Board is permitted to adopt dress codes mandating the use of school uniforms. The purpose of the School Uniform Dress Code shall be to provide additional opportunities for increased school safety; to encourage students to experience a greater sense of school identity and belonging; to encourage an improvement in student behavior; and to encourage a high level of program participation.

    DRESS CODE:  Surrattsville High School is a uniform school. Strict adherence to the policy will be enforced.   If your child is not dressed in accordance with the dress code, you will be notified and your child maybe subject to disciplinary procedures in accordance with the student code of conduct and/or the school-wide discipline plan.
