    Switch Careers: Become a Teacher

As we prepare to recruit for the 2019-20 cohort of Resident Teachers, Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) will host a series of information sessions.  The Resident Teacher Program is a Maryland Approved Alternative Preparation Program (MAAPP) for individuals who have not received any teacher training, but possess at least a Bachelor's Degree and a commitment to developing a career in the teaching profession.  All information sessions will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at various schools throughout the county.  To view a complete list of sessions and locations, please view the table below.  If you are interested in attending one of the sessions, please complete the registration form accessible by using the link provided.

Please note, if the school system is closed for any reason on one of the scheduled dates, the information session will be cancelled and rescheduled for a later date.  For additional questions or information, please call the Resident Teacher Office at 301-780-2727 or send an email to RT.Program@pgcps.org.   Please click HERE to be directed to our PGCPS Resident Teacher Google Site.
