    • Primary Material Distribution - Friday, October 2nd 9:00-11:00am

       

      This distribution day is for all Pre-K3s and PreK4s. It is also for any Kindergarten students that did not pick up their materials and/or device yet.

      We will use a drive through system so please remain in your vehicle. Each student will receive a device, Montessori consumables and a Lakeshore kit.

      Please join the meeting for your child's grade level to get important updates for the upcoming school year. Login information will shared by the teachers and PTSA.

      On Wednesday, October 7th at 10:00am, Principal Spivey White will hold this year's first Coffee, Cookies and Conversation! We look forward to seeing and chatting with you! Click here to join
    • Montessori Parent University
      Want to know more about how to best support your scholar? Our teachers will present Montessori Parent University sessions on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Each level will hold sessions from 3:00pm - 4:00pm. Teachers will communicate the detailed information on how to join sessions. If you have a topic that you would like covered, please communicate to your scholar's teacher.

      Need Tech Support?

      PGCPS Distance Learning Hotline will provide live assistance to parents/families in order to address and resolve concerns arising during the period of Distance Learning for students.   Starting August 31, 2020, parents can call 240-696-6229 on Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM for live assistance for technical/equipment issues and/or instructional guidance and support.  

      Chromebooks/iPads

      Please note that all PGCPS-owned Chromebooks and iPads distributed to students are considered to be on loan from the school system. The Chromebooks and iPads only work on the PGCPS network and they must be returned to PGCPS in good condition.

      Attendance Policy 
      — If students are unable to attend scheduled classes, parents must communicate the reason via email to the student's classroom teacher. Students will not be marked absent if experiencing technical issues such as broken equipment or internet outages, but they must contact their teacher as soon as possible. See our Final Reopening Plan for complete attendance policy.

      PGCPS Internet Options

      PGCPS will cover the monthly cost of Internet Essentials from Comcast through the end of the school year for families who are eligible for public assistance, such as the free and reduced-price meals program, Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. To apply, please visit www.internetessentials.com or call 1-855-846-8376. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.

      Drive-up wifi access points at several schools are available for anyone with a PGCPS email account to log on from the school parking lot or within close proximity to the school. You may view the list of schools at www.pgcps.org/Coronavirus/distance-learning/cards/Drive-up-WiFi.

      The Prince George’s County Memorial Library System (PGCMLS) is also offering drive-up public WiFi is accessible from all PGCMLS parking lots and the exterior of permanent and temporary PGCMLS facilities (except for pop-up locations and branches that are under construction: Surratts-Clinton and Hyattsville). Drive up to your local branch to check email, download eBooks or audiobooks, use online resources, or access community resources online.

      Creating a mobile phone hotspot | Depending on your mobile phone service and data plan, you may be able to create a Wi-Fi connection at home using your smartphone. By setting up a Wi-Fi hotspot, you can turn your phone into a source for the internet, to which laptops and tablets can connect. Here’s a how-to video
