• On Wednesday, March 25, State Superintendent of Education Dr. Karen Salmon announced that all Maryland public schools will remain closed through Friday, April 24.
    Picking up meals, digital devices and instructional materials for distance learning is permitted under Gov. Hogan's stay-at-home order (Sect IIb(iv)).

    The One to One Digital Transformation is a multi-faceted plan to transform PGCPS into a complete 21st Century Digital Learning Environment with the following qualities:

    • High quality teaching and learning transformed by technology; 
    • Prepares students for future success in an ever-changing world; 
    • Provides students with interactive, personalized learning; 
    • Allows teachers and students to access digital resources tailored to individual needs; 
    • Provides opportunities for small group instruction for students to tackle more complex concepts and take ownership of their own learning.
    One to One Schools are schools are those where each student has their own device for learning. All faculty and staff at targeted One to One Digital Transformation schools will use content, pedagogy, and technology (devices and digital tools) to create authentic, rigorous learning experiences that empower students to be problem solvers, global citizens, and leaders.
