    Program Description
    In this lab that helps fulfill Advanced Placement Biology lab requirements, students perform gel electrophoresis while studying and discussing applications of restriction enzyme technology in biotechnology and forensic science. Working in teams, students: pour a gel; use a micropipette; conduct a “gel run;” and plot the results of that run on log-linear graph paper. Students must bring a cold lunch that can be consumed in 20 minutes.
