Kick off 40 Years with Family STEM night
    fly a kite

On April 27, 2018 Howard B Owens Science Center (HBOSC) kicked-off its year-long 40th anniversary celebration with a free, family STEM night from 6:00 PM- 8:30 PM.  Fun was had by all as budding engineers designed and flew kites, constructed water walls, investigated mud crabs, explored the stars in our planetarium and more.  We were excited to have the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC) and local business Chuck E Cheese join us, as well as several retired HBOSC staff.  Check out a few of the exciting moments!

We hope you will join us next year for two more events on October 26 and June 5 as we continue our celebration.  Also, check out our special Memory Lane feature.
