    • Chocolate Fundraiser
      Dear Parents,

During this difficult time we need to find a way to complete our WFC Bars fundraiser before school ends.  We need everyone who has cases of chocolate to pay for them within one week of receiving this notice so that we can pay our bill which is now due.  Because we have limited access to the school building we have worked with our chocolate bar supplier to come up with several methods for students who owe money for chocolate bars.

If you took out a case of chocolate that you have not paid for yet you may do so by the following options -
      1. Pay directly to the supplier by VENMO.  There are no fees associated with this.  Please VENMO $60 for each case you have to @Andy-MidAtlanticFundraising
Please be sure to put school name and student in comment section.

      2. Pay through Mid Atlantic Fundraising online store.  You can use our schools GROUP ID = Hollywood to receive a unique student ID and then purchase/pay for each case of chocolate you have.  Keep in mind, you are only paying for the chocolate bars you already have, this is not to order more.

      3. Pay via Paypal.  Please use the link below to pay directly to Mid Atlantic Fundraising.  If the link doesn't work please cut and paste into your browser.  Each case is $62.00 which includes a small processing fee.  Please put school name and student name in the description.

      Thank you for your cooperation!

      Queridos padres,

    • Technology Remider
While students are learning online, we want to continue to protect them by encouraging a safe and secure learning environment. It is also important to ensure that students make decisions that meet the expectations and policies included in the Student Rights and Responsibilities Handbook. Therefore, we’ve implemented GoGuardian across our district to monitor students’ online activity when logged into Google Chrome with their PGCPS information. GoGuardian will be monitoring students’ online activity ... Students are only monitored when they are logged in to Chrome with their PGCPS Google Account.

    • PGCPS Parent Opt-Out Form for Using Digital Tools for Distance Learning
As part of the Distance Learning plan, Hollywood Elementary will be using Video Conferencing tools, such as Google Meet and Zoom. Teachers will use these tools to provide virtual lessons to students and to hold face-to-face virtual meetings with your children. These virtual meetings are a great opportunity for your child to ask his/her teacher questions about assignments and have content explained more clearly to them with one-on-one support. If lessons are recorded, they will not include your child's face or voice and students would be notified ahead of time if a teacher's lesson is being recorded. Teachers may also use student video response tools, such as Screencastify and Flipgrid, to allow students to share their responses via individual short video recordings. These videos will only be available for your child's teacher/class to view. Videos response tools will not be made public. All of these tools are very helpful in providing an engaging distance learning experience. However, if you do not want your child to participate in using these video conferencing tools and/or video response tools, complete our opt-out form at https://forms.gle/a7Zo221CgCRA3v9N9  by April 17, 2020. If you want your child to fully participate in using the digital tools recommended for distance learning, no action is required. If we do not receive a response by April 17, 2020 we will assume you consent to your child using these tools.
