  • On Wednesday, May 6, State Superintendent of Education Dr. Karen Salmon announced that all Maryland public schools will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year.

      1. Drive-up Wifi- available in the parking lot of any PGCPS schools as well as public libraries.  Use wifi from your vehicle to access distance learning information and/or instruction.


      1. PGCPS will cover the monthly cost of Internet Essentials from Comcast through the end of the school year for families who are eligible for public assistance, such as the free and reduced-price meals program, Medicaid, and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. To apply, please visit www.internetessentials.com or call 1-855-846-8376 by April 30. Hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week.

      Saludos a las familias de Greenbelt Middle School, 

      Mientras que los estudiantes están aprendiendo por internet, queremos continuar protegiéndolos, promoviendo un entorno de aprendizaje seguro y confiable. También es importante asegurarnos de que los estudiantes estén tomando las elecciones que se alineen a las expectativas y a las políticas incluidas en el Manual de Derechos y Responsabilidades Estudiantiles. Por lo tanto, hemos implementado GoGuardian en todo el distrito para supervisar la actividad de los estudiantes en el internet cuando éstos estén conectados en Google Chrome con su información de PGCPS. El director de la escuela, o un líder designado por el director, podrá revisar la actividad de los estudiantes y corregirá acciones inapropiadas. GoGuardian supervisará la actividad por internet de los estudiantes en 6:00 a. m. y 4:00 p. m., de lunes a viernes, y se desconectará después de este horario establecido. Solo se supervisará a los estudiantes cuando estén conectados en su dispositivo Chrome con su cuenta de Google de PGCPS. Para garantizar que solo se supervise la actividad de su estudiante, por favor aliéntelos a conectarse y a desconectarse usando estas instrucciones. Nota: los estudiantes que se conectan a PGCPS Chromebook se conectan automáticamente a Chrome.
