Clinton Grove ES School 2017-2018 Mandatory Uniform Policy

All scholars are required to wear neat and clean uniforms every day.  Students are encouraged to practice good hygiene and take pride in their appearance.  Hair must be completely groomed prior to arrival at school.  If a student is out of uniform, he/she will be sent to the main office.  A parent or guardian will be required to bring the appropriate attire to school for the student.  Violations to the dress code will result in school disciplinary action.  The school uniform will accommodate the students’ religious expression.  Here are the uniform expectations:

Tops - Solid white or navy blue, long or short sleeved, collared, polo-style shirt with two or three clear neutral colored buttons at the neck.  Shirts must be tucked in securely.  Waist length, navy blue, v-neck or button sweaters may be worn over the uniform shirt.

Belts - Must be solid black, dark brown, or navy blue with gold or silver tone buckle.  Belts must go through the loops and be buckled securely at the waist.

Pants, jumpers, skirts, or skorts - Uniform pants are to be worn securely around the waist with a belt securely through the loops.  Skirts, jumpers, and skorts should come past student's fingertips when their arms are at their sides.

Shoes - Solid black or brown shoes with solid black, brown, or white socks or tights.  Shoes must be fully enclosed.  Boots may be worn during inclement weather.

Optional Jewelry & Accessories - Small stud or hoop earrings, one tasteful necklace that is tucked inside shirt, one watch, and/or one pocketbook.

Hair Accessories - Barrettes, ribbons, headbands, and scrunchies/ponytail holders.  These are the only accepted hair accessories and must be navy or white.
