Access to a variety of creative technological tools such as the internet, podcasts, video-conferencing with schools in France, blogs, wikis etc. allow for an enhanced cultural experience as well as context for interaction with native French speakers from around the world. Collaboration and innovation based on the National Standards for World Languages of Connections, Cultures, Communication, Comparisons and Communities form the guidelines for our curriculum.

Eligible French immersion students can also register into the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at CHS which is part of a world wide affiliation of schools that promotes international standards of achievement. Advanced Placement French (AP) courses are also offered as is the study of Japanese and Spanish.

Our program’s mission is that all students will acquire knowledge and 21st century skills through spoken, written and technological communication in the French language which will enable and empower them to become productive, global citizens and life long learners. This will be accomplished through an environment which is both motivating and challenging for all students. Parental and community involvement will be both cultivated and encouraged.
