  • Hispanic Heritage Month

    Hispanic Heritage

Prince George's County Memorial Public Library System celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month! Check out some local events at their West Prince George's Location now through October 15th.

September is National Library Card Sign-up Month and a good time to learn about LINK. This partnership between the library system and PGCPS gives students immediate access to all library resources. LINK allows PGCPS students access to library services using their 9-digit ID Number with PGCPS in front, no sign-up needed! Students can use all PGCMLS online resources from home or school, borrow materials, and have the added benefit of never having to worry about overdue fines or having to sign up for an account.

Eight through ninth grade students can also start earning service hours at the library. At Hyattsville, we have a Teen Action Group (TAG) that meets every Thursday at 4:30-5:30pm. Students are welcomed to drop-in as their schedule allows to earn one hour of service for every meeting they attend. Additional opportunities are available at the branch and throughout the system. Please call the Hyattsville branch for more information: 301-985-4690
