William Beanes Elementary School Student of the Month Program
    Recognizing Academics, Leadership, and Character
The William Beanes Student of the Month Program will be a concerted effort among faculty and staff members that recognizes and promotes the character development, self-esteem, and perseverance of all students. We hope that this program will be one of many ways in which we work towards improving the overall quality of student behavior, peer relationships, school attendance, and student achievement.  Additionally, the Student of the Month Program provides teachers with a tool to reward students for special achievements that may otherwise go unnoticed. Teachers may select students based on the following criteria:

Academics - Students who excel academically and those with dramatic improvements in their grades

Character - Students who have excellent attendance and punctuality; complete classroom work in a timely manner; turn in homework assignments on time; behave properly, regardless of supervision; follow the rules; and are dependable, respectful, caring, responsible, and trustworthy

School leadership, pride and spirit - Students who are active in the school, demonstrate outstanding citizenship, and promote school spirit and pride

Extra-curricular activities - Students who represent the school well in academic and other extracurricular contests and competitions

Community service - Students who are active, and have demonstrated leadership in the following groups:  community, church, or other service organizations

Students will receive special recognition each for their outstanding achievements.
