The University of Maryland's admissions team kicked off its #NowATerp tour and is making its way around the state notifying some lucky graduating seniors that they’ve been accepted at Maryland.

But these were no ordinary college acceptance notifications.

The University surprised three PGCPS students — Bowie High School senior Noah Jones and Eleanor Roosevelt High School seniors Audrey Rappaport and Rocio Mayorga— at their homes with news of acceptance! And the Maryland marching band and Testudo the mascot came along to celebrate!

“We want students to know how really big a deal it is that they’ve been accepted to the University of Maryland,” said Gundy. “And we want them to get excited about it pretty early on.”
