    How to Register Your Child

If this is your student's first year in any school, you must first find out what area school your student should attend.  To get this information, you have two options.  You can call the school nearest your home and have the Records Secretary look your address up in the system to verify your school or you can visit Find My School.  After you type in your address it will give you the name of your area school will appear.  Once you know the school your student is to attend, then you must go to that school to register your child.  You must bring with you the following information:

    1.    Student's original Birth Certificate stating both parents names, the child's name and date of birth.

    2.    Proof of Residence (Deed, Current Lease, or Current Rental Agreement). If you do not have any of these things, and you are living with someone, then you must bring that individual's deed, lease, or current rental agreement and you will need to have a Shared housing form notarized (this form will be given to you when you come to register).

    3.    Student's immunization record must be up-to-date before the student start school and they must get a physical examination.

    4.    Also if you child has attended school outside of Prince George's County we will need their most recent report card.
