Frederick Douglass was selected in 2017 to be the first and only high school in PGCPS to offer the Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) program. The P-TECH program provides college classes to high school students both at the high school and on campus at PGCC. The curriculum is designed to complete the required classes to earn a Maryland High School Diploma and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree simultaneously.

    Highlights:

    • High-demand industry pathways: Health Information Management OR Hospitality Services Management
    • Open enrollment within the boundary through a lottery selection process
    • Both P-TECH: Health and Technology and P-TECH: Hospitality and Management are located at Frederick Douglass High School
    • Guaranteed paid internship in your chosen career field
    • Guaranteed mentoring from industry partners
    • Support and enrichment through extended day and summer bridge programs
    • Earn your AAS for FREE!
