    Dear Drew-Freeman Parents and Community,

It is with great pleasure that I write to welcome you back to another school year.  My name is Mr. Dallas Lee, and I will serve as your principal! I am looking forward to meeting new faces, revisiting with familiar ones, as well as hearing all about your summer adventures! Before serving as a school principal, I was a Reading/Language Arts educator and assistant principal. I’m an avid reader and movie goer, and doctoral student. I believe this is going to a fun-filled year jam packed with meaningful learning experiences and opportunities for us all to develop positive, long-lasting relationships!

As we enter the 2019-2020 school year, we do so boldly understanding that we must all work as a collective unit in order to achieve our school’s mission of educating and empowering all scholars and community members through rigorous instruction, real-world experiences, and continuous character development.  Our staff has adopted a set of principles that guide our work. We believe:

    • Our children can do anything with consistent support, love, and encouragement.
    • We believe in working as a team.
    • Decisions are made collectively; we do not utilize a top-down approach.
    • The work can be tough, but it's not impossible.
    • We give our children our very best, every day.
    • Positive, loving relationships are the true drivers of change.

As a student at Drew-Freeman, you will consistently be encouraged to achieve your highest potential. This message will come from teachers, coaches, counselors, administrators, and even fellow students. As a result, our goal is to ensure that the resources you need to reach individual goals and objectives are provided each day.  A successful middle school experience requires discipline, organization, focus, and commitment. Keep in mind that our academic and behavioral expectations are high. As you grow throughout your adolescent years, our expectations for you will increase as well.

I am excited about all that we will accomplish this school year. In ten short months, we will all have transformed into kinder human beings with new academic understandings. Let’s get ready for this remarkable journey ahead!

    Go Falcons!

    One Team...One Goal...No Limits!
