    Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

    It’s STEM Fair Time

    Grades 4, 5, 6 will complete at-home projects.

Grades K-3 will complete in class projects.

STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Over the next few weeks, you will choose your own research project that contains one or all of the STEM elements and conduct an investigation to seek the answer to your project’s question. This long-term, at-home project will enable you to combine reading, writing, math, data analysis and scientific inquiry on a topic that YOU HAVE CHOSEN! The PGCPS Science Office no longer uses or prints the former blue covered Student STEM Fair Journal booklet. The documents you will use as you prepare for the school-based STEM Fair can be obtained using the link below:

You will be discussing possible ideas for your STEM project with your Science and Project Lead the Way teachers. Begin to brainstorm your idea to have it approved by your Science teacher.

Very important dates you will need for your project are listed on the STEM Fair timeline. Post the timeline on your refrigerator to keep you up to date.  All projects should be completed by January 8, 2019. No exceptions.
