  1. What are the school hours?

      Students can begin entering at 9:00am.

 

  1. Is there a Before and After Care Program?

      Whitehall Elementary does have a Before and After Care Extended Learning Program.  Contact the school office at 301-805-1000 for more information.

 

  1. Do Whitehall students wear uniforms?

      Whitehall Elementary students do not wear uniforms.  We follow the Prince George’s County Public School guidelines for proper attire.

 

  1. What is the cost of school lunches?

    A school lunch costs $1.75 and breakfast is $1.10.  Applications for the free/reduced lunch program must be completed and signed before they can be approved.  Students who participated here or in the elementary school last year will be included in the program for SEPTEMBER ONLY.  All students who wish to continue must have a signed form on file at Tasker by the end of September. Forms can be obtained from Mrs. Karen Whitney in the Guidance Office. 

 

  1. What if my child is absent?

      Upon returning to school, the child should bring a written parental excuse note.  This note should be given to the child's homeroom teacher.  The student has as many days to make-up the work as they were absent.  

 

  1. When is a student considered tardy?

     A student is considered tardy at 9:15am.  If they are late due to buses, they will receive a pass to enter class.  If they are late for any other reason, they should report to the office to receive a late pass.

 

  1. Are visitors allowed during school hours?

     Visitors are allowed and welcome at Whitehall.  All visitors must sign-in at the main office and receive a visitor's badge.

 

  1. How can I volunteer ?

  1. How do I contact my child’s teacher?

      Teachers can be contacted by calling the main office at 301-805-1000.  If they are not available, then a message will be left and the teacher will return the call as soon as possible.  All teachers do have email addresses where they can be contacted at any time.  These are listed under the appropriate department on this website.

 

  1. What are the school colors and mascot?

      Our school colors are blue and gold.  Our mascot is a wildcat.
