Principal’s Corner: Our musical, “A Year With Frog and Toad,” was outstanding! The students performed beautifully, and everybody truly enjoyed the show! Thanks to everyone for coming out to see the musical on Thursday, Friday and Saturday! Many thanks to Chris Fominaya for his excellent direction! Many thanks to these folks for playing in the pit orchestra, they sounded amazing and added so much to the play! Many parents, friends and staff members helped during rehearsals, as well as before, during and after the performances. We couldn’t have done it without them! Congratulations to our County Science Fair winners! This is the third year in a row that our school has won two Grand Prizes! 5th grader Charlie Dawson and 6th grader Nelson Lotz both won Grand Prizes! 4th graders Amelia Komisar-Bury and Andrew Martin, as well as 5th grader Fred Buchanan, won Excellence Awards! We are all so very proud!
The PTA’s May Fair was a blast! We had a great turn-out, even with the rain! Thank you so much to the chairs of the event – Sheilla Salicrup, Steven Benson, and Maby Palmisano, for all of their incredible hard work! Congratulations to our very own Anthony Clark, who won the County’s Outstanding Educator Award, and to Teresa Puma, who won the Outstanding Support Personnel Award!! They received their awards last week at a lovely ceremony. We are so lucky to have them on our staff!

Our final Choir/UP Singers/Instrumental Music Concert will be held tonight at Northwestern High School at 7 p.m.! Please join us for this fantastic show!
The last time the School Store will be open this year is Tuesday, May 31st. We will have lots of summer items for sale: beach balls, goggles, kites, floats, and more! Thanks for your support of the school store throughout the year…all of the proceeds benefit the House of Hope (lkhayalethemba) After Care Reading Program in South Africa!
The last PTA Meeting of the year will be held on June 1st at 7 p.m. We will be electing a new board – please consider running for a position! You can make a difference!
