Principal’s Corner: It was great seeing so many parents at
Parent Visitation Day today! Thank
you for coming to check out our scholars!
I am very proud of all of their hard work, and very grateful for all of
the support you give them and us!
It
was also wonderful to see so many of you during Parent Conference Day! Working together to give your children
the best education possible is our highest goal! Please know that if you have any questions or concerns at
any time, we are here. Do not
hesitate to email/call us!
Many thanks to
everyone who came to UPES Three Brothers Restaurant Night! Our
school earned $300, and we had a delicious dinner to boot! Also, many thanks to everyone for Hats On Day! Our students raised $500 for the
Pediatric Cancer Society!! This
project stemmed from our Community Builders and Ms. Neff. Again, I am so proud of our students
for thinking of and caring for others.
The PTA sends a
mighty thanks to everyone who ordered from their Citrus Sale! Your patronage makes a huge difference
in how the PTA can support our school programs! Soon we’ll be swimming in Vitamin C! J
On this Friday, Nov.
19th, the PTA will be holding an Open House for parents of children who are now in preschool or
currently attend private school. There will be a presentation in the cafeteria
at 8:30 a.m. for them, followed by a tour of the school. Spread the word!
The
PTA’s Silent Auction, originally planned for Dec. 11th, has
unfortunately been postponed.
Kathy Hotakainen, the chairperson, put in many, many hours to prepare
for the event, but could not get enough parent volunteers to make the Silent
Auction a reality. We are hoping
that we will be able to hold it in the Spring, depending on the amount of
support that is offered. (Hint,
hint!) Thank you, Kathy, for all
of your hard work, as well as the work of your committee!
Science
Fair backboards are now on sale! White
backboards are $4.00 and color boards are $5.00! Please send in cash or checks made out to UPES in a labeled
envelope with your child’s name and teacher.
