Principal’s Corner: Our musical, “HMS Pinafore,” was outstanding!  The students performed at such a high, professional standard, it was incredibly impressive!  Thanks to everyone for coming out to see the show on Thursday, Friday and Saturday!  Many thanks to Chris Fominaya for his excellent direction!  Many thanks to these folks for playing in the pit orchestra, they sounded amazing and added so much to the play!  Thanks to Dave Spitzberg, Brad Tatum, Claudia Chudacoff, Barbara Brown, Louise Niepoetter, Jay Niepoetter, and Yee-Ning Soong!  Many parents, friends and staff members helped during rehearsals, as well as before, during and after the performances.  We couldn’t have done it without them!  Thanks to Lauren Martin, Roberta Kisker, Christine Dawson, Michelle Hermanson, Karen Ahalt, Kristi Janzen, Rumi Matsuyama, Tony and Kathleen Fominaya, Jason Doane, Christy Neff, Antonio Fominaya, Aaron Springer, Gayatri Varma, Axel Guerin, Alan Wonneberger, Ari Ben Aissa, Sarah Howard, Kevin Walsh, Drena Galarza, Anthony Clark, Rajani Bhatia, Carmen and JJ Booker, Barbara Boswell, Nyssa Cummings, James Dawson, Brooke Delosh, Jason and Mary Doane, Lori Farrar, Angela Floyd, Jerry Hebbard, Alex, John and Sarah Heitkemper, Eric and Jo Hannah Hurtt, Sela Iverson, Clio Jensen, Isaac and Susanna Kisker, Karen Krueger, Allen, Diana, and Ksenia Markel, Kristin McCue, Juanita Morton, Emma Niepotter, Lucas Pierce, Charlotte Pfuhl, Lisa Tuit, Sherry Waldrep, and Don Weaver!

Congratulations to our County Science Fair winners!  5th Grader Olivia Martin and 6th Grader Ryan Montesi won Grand Prizes at the County Fair.  Ryan Montesi won the Grand Prize last year and this year, which is unprecendented and an incredible achievement! 4th Grader Charlie Dawson won a First Place ribbon.  5th Grader Clio Jensen won the Excellence in Biology Award, and 6th Grader Henry Tuit-Farquhar won the Excellence Award in Physical Science.  I could not be more proud!

Our final band/choir concert at school will take place tonight at 7 p.m. in the gym.  I hope you’ll join us!  Good luck to our instrumental students and Mr. Spitzberg; they’ll be competing this Friday at Six Flags!  Good luck also to the Choir, Mr. Fominaya, and Mr. Tatum!  They will be competing at Hershey Park on May 28th!

Our itinerant art teacher, Liza Linder, and her husband will start installing the mosaic at the end of this week – they have to wait for a non-rainy day!  I am really looking forward to seeing it go up, it will look beautiful!  What a project!

Many thanks to Becky Widman and her Girl Scout Troop for planting flowers in the school’s front circle!  They look lovely!

Sixth grade parents, since your children are in a transitioning grade (going to middle school,) you are required to bring proof of residence and a utility bill to our office.  Thank you!

Parents, please remember to sign in at the office and get a Visitor’s sticker when visiting the building.  Thanks!  Also, now is a good time to check the Lost and Found in the cafeteria.  In two weeks, we will donate whatever is left to charity!
