Family Portal

See your child's grades, attendance records, and progress reports using the Prince George's County Family Portal

Students -- you can log into the Portal with your PGCPS user name and four-digit password.

Parents -- All you need to register is your child's Student ID number.  The student ID number can be found on their report card, or e-mail the teacher and they can give it to you.  After that, you'll need to know a few things about your child, such as their birthday, etc.  Once you have completed the registration screen, check your e-mail for the link to confirm your account.  After this, your e-mail address is your user ID.

Need help?  Check out the User Manual, ask the office staff, or e-mail Mrs. Clemens (Genevie.Clemens@pgcps.org)

How Can You Help?

  • Volunteer! Becoming a volunteer is a win win for all. (Please see fingerprinting information below)  The PTA offers many opportunities to help in our school, from working directly with the children with the Art Awareness program, to helping behind the scenes.  And check with your child's teachers to see if there is any classroom project you can help with.  And there are almost always books to shelve in the school library!

  • Communication is essential. Be sure to check your child's backpack on a nightly basis. Look for school newsletters as well as flyers with important information for upcoming parent nights. Remember our website is an important communication tool. Email links are available on the website to contact your child's teacher.

  • Participation. Your attendance at PTA meetings, parents' nights, and family-fun nights are important. This keeps you "in-the-know."

  • Visit. At Tulip Grove we have an "open door policy". You are welcomed to visit your child's classroom any day. Just stop by the main office to obtain a visitor's pass. (Remember you are visiting. If you would like to meet with the teacher to discuss your child's progress, please schedule an appointment.)
