  PGCPS and the State of Maryland require all students entering 7th grade this academic year to submit immunization records to the school nurse.  Failure to complete this requirement may result in your child not being able to attend school until official immunization records are provided from the doctor.  Please click here to read the attached flyer for information on the immunization requirement and for a list of locations where the student immunizations may be completed.

  Parents & Students, please take a moment to read the following Uniform Dress Code & Student Supply list for the upcoming school year.

  Please plan to attend the TJMS Science Bowl Competition on September 22nd, 2015.  More details on the event will be posted in the near future! 
Schoolmax Grade image Free College & Career Summit Sept. 26th at Oxon Hill HS            

The 3rd Annual College & Career Summit is scheduled for September 26th, 2015 at Oxon Hill High School from 9:00am - 2:00pm.  This is a FREE event hosted by Prince George's County Board of Education and Prince George's County Publich Schools.  It is designed to help students get ready for life in and after high school.  Transportation is available for students in need of bus transportation.  Registration is available online at the main homepage.  Please read this attached flyer for more information on the event!

     Student Athletic Packet for All Athletes!     
  Parents:  Any student wishing to participate in an athletic sport for TJMS this school year is required to submit records of receiving a doctor's physical prior to participation that is dated within the past 12 months.  Questions about physicals may be directed to our schools athletic director, Mr. Alston, at charles2.alston@pgcps.org. 


News Alert  PARCC Testing Tips for Parents & Students                       
  Please take a few minutes to review a list of suggested ideas (bilingual) that will help your child in the classroom on the upcoming PARCC test which is replacing the former MSA test.  This test will be administered entirely on the computer.  Please read the provided tips and feel free to contact your child's grade level guidance counselor if you have any further questions/concerns.  Thank you!

                                    SGA Anti-Bullying Campaign held at TJMS Anti-bully image     


 The Student Government Association (SGA) sponsored an Anti-Bullying campaign at TJMS.  The response and activities throughout the event have been terrific!  A video was created by the SGA and scholars from TJMS that we wanted to share with the community.
