Principal's Corner

 Greetings Thomas Claggett Elementary
Family!

Welcome! We are excited about what
the school year has in store for us.
We are looking forward to working with
you this year to increase student
achievement and assist our children in
doing their best socially and academically
each and every day.   Here at
Thomas Claggett, we believe you play a
key role in the academic success of
our students; therefore, school/parent
communication is crucial.  We Need
Your Help!!  We are STRONGLY
encouraging family members to volunteer
at the school.  This is OUR school and
OUR community, so let’s work
together to help our children have a
successful academic year.

Here are a few things that you can
do to help your children be successful:

  • Have your child know that
    attendance at school everyday
    must become a habit.

  • Make your child’s prompt
attendance to school a priority - INSTRUCTION BEGINS
    PROMPTLY AT 7:45 AM
    DAILY.

  • Expect homework Monday
    through Friday and projects
    on a regular basis.

  • Allot time for reading and
    practicing basic math facts
with your children on a nightly
    basis.

  • Please update your residency
    and phone numbers to ensure
    we can contact you.

  • Return all requested forms
and documents to school in a
    timely manner.

Sincerely,
