After a series of community briefings, public hearings, more than 2,500 survey responses, and additional public input, the Prince George’s County Board of Education voted today to approve the administration’s revised plan for expanding program choices in historically underserved communities and consolidating under-enrolled schools.
“From the beginning, the Board of Education understood that this could only be accomplished with the assistance of our parents, students, and community leaders,” said Board Chair Verjeana M. Jacobs, Esq. “The Board will continue to offer more opportunities to children where choices have been limited in the past, and we will drive the school district to operate more efficiently and effectively.”
