From November 9-13, we encourage Prince George’s County Public School students to thank veterans, service members, and their families through a letter writing campaign. Blue Star Families, a national organization assisting military families, is spearheading “Operation Appreciation” to coincide with Veteran’s Day.

We are asking students to write a card (any type of card will do) or letter targeting:

1. Parent of a service member
2. Spouse of a service member
3. Child of a service member
4. Veteran

Write the corresponding number for whomever the card or letter is targeting (1, 2, 3, or 4). Send all cards and letters in a package addressed to:
