The Technical Academy Program is located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. We provide students with technical skills and knowledge that add value to their academic education. The Academy services seven high schools (Suitland, Crossland, Bladensburg, Laurel, Gwynn Park, Croom and Tall Oaks).

All of the schools serve students in grades 11 and 12. We incorporate a number of recruiting efforts each year in order to build our program such as, open house, program orientations, 8th grade tours and Guidance Counselor awareness workshops.

The Technical Academy Program has several partnerships that support our efforts on an on-going basis. One that has been very beneficial to our students is our F.A.C.T.S (Foundation of Automotive and Construction Technology for Students) program. Through our F.A.C.T.S program, students under the direct supervision of their instructor in the various programs are responsible for the Student-Built House Project. This program provides hands on experience in the work place which enable students to build a house from start to completion. Apply Now
