About Us

Description:  Tanglewood Regional School is a regional public school within the Prince George’s County Public Schools system.  Tanglewood provides a comprehensive and individualized educational program to students with disabilities.  Students receive daily specialized instruction in all content areas using a variety of adapted and modified materials aligned with the Maryland Common Core State Standards and the Maryland Common Core Curriculum Frameworks.  Students access Adapted Physical Education, Aquatics, Technology, Music and Arts programs within the school.   Additionally, students participate in Community-Based Instruction to enhance and extend learning.  Local field trips and community sponsored events and partnerships also enrich the educational experience for the students and families at Tanglewood.  All programs and services focus on achievement and independence for all students.

Enrollment Process:  Students are considered for placement at Tanglewood Regional School through the recommendation of the IEP Team at the child’s local, neighborhood school.  Families who are new to the area must first register their child in that neighborhood school.  The neighborhood school IEP Team will review the student’s program and consider Tanglewood, if appropriate.
