Prince George's County Public Schools

Health and PE Sports

The Physical Education Department strives to teach students the importance of fitness and involve them in regular, vigorous activity. We strive to offer a fun, comprehensive physical education program; opportunities for students to pursue lifetime health and fitness; and to foster social skills that enhance cooperation.

Students must purchase a PE uniform from the teacher at the beginning of the semester.  The cost of the uniform is $25, payable in cash (only until Sept. 2, 2011) or money order only.

The Health Education Department provides students with the knowledge and skills they need to be healthy throughout their lifetime. This comprehensive health education program motivates
students to maintain and improve their health, prevent disease, and avoid or reduce health related risk behaviors

Students must have .50 credit in Health and .50 credit in physical education.  Students entering the 9th grade for the first time in 2008 - 2009 and all years thereafter must take Personal Fitness 1 as a graduation requirement.
