Career and Technical Education  

The CTE Mission Statement 

The mission of Career and Technical Education is to improve the quality and effectiveness of programs and experiences that prepare youth for post-secondary and life-long education, vocational and technical training, and expanded career options.   Accelerated academic learning, quality technical training and collaboration with employers, post-secondary schools and military organizations are the cornerstones of Career and Technical Education programs.  Student service learning, which enables students to participate in over 200 community-based activities, is a natural precursor to these programs. 

To ensure the viability and credibility of departmental programs, the department maintains and develops close alliances with local, state, and national business and industry  stakeholders.
