Effective January 1, 2011 A long-term substitute teacher will again be identified as an employee who works a minimum of fifteen (15) consecutive workdays in the same assignment for a regular classroom teacher who is on approved leave, or an employee who fills an approved vacancy for a minimum of fifteen (15) consecutive workdays in the same teaching assignment on a day-to-day basis providing direct instruction to students. It is important to note that there are no reductions to the actual daily substitute teacher pay rates.
