Academy of Graphic Arts, Media, & Communication

The Academy of Graphic Arts, Media, & Communication provides students the opportunity to explore the world of graphic arts, graphic design, multimedia, and video production. Students are provided with knowledge of the equipment, materials, and processes currently used in the industry.

 

Programs of Study 

The Academy of Graphic Arts, Media, & Communication will offer the following two programs of study when it launches during the 2012-13 Academic School Year:

Communication & Broadcast Technology
Students in the Communication & Broadcast Technology program will have the opportunity to fully explore the demands of a life in television and media production. The course of study includes a full investigation into TV production, recording technologies, as well as, a more indepth look at the fine arts.

Computer Graphics
The Computer Graphics course of study will enable students to capture the design opportunities made possible through the use of technology. Students enrolled in this program will explore the arts through courses in Drawing and Painting, Art, and Introduction to Photography while using courses in Computer Graphics to translate art onto the computer screen.

Program Feeder Site 

In school year 2012-13 the Academy of Graphic Arts, Media, & Communication will be offered at the following high school.  The chart lists the middle schools that will feed into this high school.  The Academy will only serve rising 9th graders that live within the boundary area of the high school.
