The Instructional Supervisor for K-12 Designated Special Education Programs provides central office oversight for the delivery of specialized instruction to students receiving services from any one of the following:
- Programs for Students Designated with Emotional Disturbance
- Comprehensive Special Education Programs
- Programs for Students Who are Orthopedically Disabled
- Programs for Students Who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Autism Programs
- Community Referenced Instruction Classes
- Services for Gifted Students with Learning Needs
- Transition Services
The mission for the Office of K-12 Designated Special Education Programs is to ensure the provision of quality specially designed data-driven instruction with the utilization of accommodations, as appropriate. The two main goals of the K-12 Special Education Programs are to strive for all designated students to participate and progress in the general education curriculum or its extensions in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEP’s); and to successfully transition to post secondary options after graduation.
