COMER SDP
COUNTY-WIDE STEERING COMMITTEE
As a component of the systemic school improvement plan started in 1985, this 250-member committee is comprised of at least one staff member and one parent/community member from every Comer SDP school.
The group meets six times a year to:
provide a format for school representatives to interact/network with one another and share concerns and best practices in school improvement.
provide development, coordination, implementation and assessment of activities that affect all SDP schools (Annual SDP Retreat, speakers, Dr. Comer's visits, fairs, etc.).
make recommendations to improve SDP implementation efforts
keep schools apprised of information regarding the Annual SDP Retreat and other Comer SDP/training opportunities
