    Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),

    Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! We look forward to partnering with you in order to ensure that your child receives a high quality education. The Rosaryville Elementary School (RES) staff is recharged, energized and excited to welcome back all students. Please review the following announcements in preparation for the first day of school.

    School Vision- Please join us in supporting our school vision: The Rosaryville Elementary School vision is to build a community of excellence where 100% of Rosaryville Elementary School students exceed proficiency standards while gaining the knowledge, skills, and character traits that will lead to college readiness, life-long learning and civic engagement.

    Administration Update: We are excited to welcome Mr. Anton Davis to our Rosaryville Administrative Team. He is our school’s new Assistant Principal. 

    Pre-K Orientation: RES will continue to have two full-day Pre-K classes. We will hold orientation on August 31st at 12:00 pm. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend.

    Kindergarten Orientation: Kindergarten Orientation will take place on August 31st at 1:30pm. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend.

    New Student Orientation (Grades 1-5 ONLY): RES will welcome all new students (grades 1-5) on Tuesday, September 5th from 12:00-1:00 pm. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend.

    Autism Program Orientation: RES will hold an orientation for students in our Autism Program on Tuesday, September 5th from 1:00-2:00 pm. New and returning families are strongly encouraged to attend. Kindergarten students in the Autism Program should attend the Kindergarten Orientation held on August 31st.

    Back to School Night:

    We will hold Back to School Night for PreK- 2nd grades on September 13th from 6:00pm-7:30pm. We will hold Back to School Night for 3rd-5th grades on September 14th from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Please take advantage of this opportunity to meet your child’s teacher(s) and to learn about the curriculum and grade level expectations.

    Teacher Assignments/Welcome Letter: Teacher assignments will be mailed home in the middle of August. If you do not receive the mailing by August 21st, you may call the main office at (301) 599-2490 to find out your child’s homeroom teacher. Please keep in mind that teacher assignments are subject to change throughout the course of the year.

    Transportation: Bus arrival and departure times will be sent to parents from the PGCPS Department of Transportation. If you have questions regarding transportation, please contact their office directly at (301) 952-6570.

    Supply List: The 2017-2018 supply list is available on our school website and is also available for pick up in the main office.

    Uniform Policy: The 2017-2018 uniform policy is available on our school website and is also available for pick up in the main office.
