Students in Pre-K performed activities that were aligned with their My Family, My Community unit. Students pretended to help their family members clean up their house and helped to clean up their community.  Pre-K students were also introduced to the skill of throwing.

Students in grades K-2 continued their Object Control unit.  Students were given several opportunities to practice their throwing and catching skills.  2nd grade students refined their skills by throwing to a target.  Mr. Hatcher was one those targets.  Students that could accurately throw their ball and hit Mr. Hatcher earned an Eagle Buck.  Mr. Hatcher was not harmed during the process!

Lastly, students in grades 3-6 participated in tennis to practice their striking skills.

Focus

We will continue to be an exciting time in Physical Education. Pre-K students will participate in activities that are aligned with their My Five Senses unit.  These activities will focus on rhythm and listening skills, visual tracking and catching, and body awareness.

Students in grades K-2 will focus on kicking skills and health related fitness during November.

Students in grades 3-6 will also focus on health related fitness during November.  Students will learn to monitor their pulse during exercise and get a better understanding of the benefits of regular exercise.  Dance, tag games, and other fitness activities will be used to reinforce these concepts.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
