PROGRAM FOR INTERNATIONAL EDUCATORS (PIE)
A component of the Professional Educator Induction Program (PEIP) is the customized support of international teachers. The Program for International Educators (PIE) provides professional development and support that is guided by the needs of the participating cohort of teachers. Through participation in a year-long workshop series, teachers explore relevant topics that are guided by research findings and professional references. A differentiated format of whole-group presentations and discussions, coupled with small groups sessions facilitated by experienced international teachers, provides participants ample opportunities to engage in further understanding and in-depth discourse around identified topics.
For additional information about PIE, contact Ms. Realista Rodriguez, Specialist, at realista.rodriguez@pgcps.org or at 301-749-4600, ext. 2018.
