National Board Certification is a priority for Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS). We are pleased to announce that PGCPS has launched a new initiative entitled the National Board Certified Teacher-Leadership Development (NBCT-LD) program. The NBCT-LD project is a recruitment and support program for National Board Certification and a leadership development program designed to building mentoring, coaching, and the leadership skills of teachers. A primary goal of the NBCT-LD program is to increase the number of PGCPS Nationally Board Certified teachers. The NBCT-LD office, located in Suite L of the Oxon Hill Staff Development Center, will provide support to PGCPS National Board Certified teachers, as well as current and potential NBCT candidates.
