Mission Statement

The mission of the Prekindergarten Program is to provide initial learning experiences to effectively help children develop and maintain the basic skills necessary for successful school performance.

Registration

Prekindergarten registration will begin on April 15th for children that reside within the boundary of a prekindergarten program location, verified by school finder. Beginning June 1st, families may register at any elementary school that still has available seats. Transportation will only be provided to boundary schools.  This is an income eligible program.  No above income children will be accepted.  Detailed information will be posted on the website by March 1st which will outline registration policies and procedures.  You may call the Early Childhood Office at 301-808-2707 for further clarification.  As always, only a parent or court-appointed guardian may register a student.
