The goals of the English for Speakers of Other Languages program are:
To provide an intensive English language program to newly arrived students from other countries whose native languages are other than English.
To assist such students in improving upon both communication skills and academic skills such as reading, writing, and test-taking.
To provide a support system for international students as they assimilate into the American way of life and as they learn and adjust to cultural and educational differences.
Ultimately, to exit students from this language program into regular content classes.
