SPECIAL PROGRAMS & RELATED WEBSITES
DIVERSIFIED OCCUPATIONS
Also known as Work Study, this program provides academic instruction and vocational preparation for students receiving Special Education services. As seniors, students learn employability skills and combine school with on-the-job training.
AUTISM
Instructional options are individualized and may include: autism classroom, intensive, co-taught, general education with support, and honors classes, if appropriate. The Autism program provides ongoing direct social skills instruction, curriculum adaptations and modifications, behavioral supports, and highly trained staff.
COMMUNITY REFERENCED INSTRUCTION PROGRAM (CRI)
The CRI high school program supports students with disabilities ages 16-21, whose needs can not be met in a less restrictive environment. Content Area Standards are accessed using the Maryland Voluntary State Curriculum. Students in the CRI program exit from Prince George’s County Public Schools with a Certificate of Program Completion.
