The Prince George’s County Board of Education has adopted four new policies designed to govern high functioning public meetings, ensure responsiveness to constituent concerns, improve the quality of services provided to the community it serves, and provide systems oversight.
“This Board of Education is committed to a holistic approach to school improvement that includes inviting feedback from parents and the community, and being responsive to constituent concerns,” said Board Chair Verjeana M. Jacobs, Esq. “These new policies communicate what should be expected of Board members as we engage the public in our mission to close achievement gaps and raise the academic achievement for all students in Prince George’s County public schools by ensuring equitable access to a high quality education that guarantees every child graduates college- and work-ready.”
