Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) today announced the details of its summer work week pilot that begins on Monday, June 22 and ends at the close of business on Friday, August 14.

Schools and offices will be open Monday through Thursday with extended hours to present students, parents, and employees with more flexible hours during the summer months. The school district’s core business hours will be 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Closing school facilities and office buildings for a three-day period will provide a significant cost-savings during difficult economic times.
