    Walden University Partners with Oxon Hill ES to Beautify Our School
    Oxon Hill ES was ecstatic when Walden University selected to partner with us in joint efforts to beautify our school grounds.  This exciting event occurred on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.
    Hispanic Heritage Celebration Family Night - A Heart-Warming Experience for All
    Oxon Hill Elementary School's annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration family night occurred on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 7:00 pm. 
    Annual PBIS and Student Attendance Family Night Event- Committed Parents, Amazing Turn Out, No Empty Seats
     Oxon Hill Elementary School's annual PBIS/Student Attendance family night event occurred on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 7:00 pm.  The harder it rained, the more parents and their children came. By7:25 pm, our cafeteria was filled to capacity with committed and eager to participate parents and families. 
    Huge Crowd of Over 254 Parents and Students Attends Back-to-School Night
    Despite the weather alert for thunderstorm and pouring rain, over 254 parents and students  came for Oxon Hill Elementary School's Back-to-School held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 7:00 pm.  
    Blue Sky Puppet Theatre Presents PBIS - the Oxon Hill's Way (Being Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Prepared)
    All students at Oxon Hill Elementary School excitedly convened in the gymnasium on Wednesday, September 26, 2015 to engage in song and minds with Blue Sky Puppet Theatre's interactive presentation on Conflict/Resolution on the bus, in the classroom, cafeteria, and playground. 
    Oxon Hill ES Students Post Math Learnings - Using Numeracy for Reasoning and Solving Problems
    Building Literacy and Using Numeracy for math reasoning and solving math problems is the instructional focus at Oxon Hill Elementary School.  All students gathered once again in the gymnasium on Friday, September 28, 2015 to engage in hands-on, minds-on learning with Blue Sky Puppet Theatre as they presented "Sand Castles" - an interactive puppet show that focused on using math knowledge in real life situations to reason accurately and solve mathematical problems. 
    Overjoyed Students, Staff and Parents Accept Donations of School Supplies from Committed Business Partner
    The Southminster Prebysterian Church, one of Oxon Hill Elementary School's faithful, business partners, took our school supply list from each grade level and purchased school supplies including new backpacks which were fully stocked, for our students.  
    Meet & Greet Escalates Excitement for New School Year 2015-2016
    Oxon Hill Elementary school held its Annual Meet & Greet event on Thursday, August 20, 2015 from 4:00 to 5:00 pm.  Excitement filled the air as parents met their children's teachers and room locations prior to the first day of school for students, August 25, 2015.

    Oxon Hill ES teachers and staff hit the ground running on Monday, August 17, 2015, the first day back from Summer vacation.

    Oxon Hill ES continues to partner with Maryland Meals for Student Achievement Program. Every student receive a free breakfast in their classroom each instructional day.
