    Oxon Hill Elementary School was proud to have Mr. Eric Hall celebrated as our "Outstanding Father" during PGCPS' now annual Outstanding Fathers' Celebration and Forum on Wednesday, February 11, 2015.  
    Principal's Honor Roll Celebration - Academic Pride at Zenith Point Excellence
    Thirteen students, representing grades 2 - 5, were celebrated on Thursday, January 29, 2015 for making straight  "A's" in all content areas for Quarter I.
    Commit to Be Fit Family Night: A Huge Success for Healthier Living
    Parents, students, teachers and staff celebrated fitness as one huge family at our Commit to Be Fit Night held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 7:00 pm. Activities included:  Climbing Wall, Relay Activities, Line Dancing, Xbox Kinect Activities, Jump Rope, Zumba, Scooter Races, Crazy Cones Technology Station and more. 
    Two Different Events Joined Hands with One Purpose: STEM Fair Project Preparation Activity and American Education Week Family Night. Wow!!
     It was Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 7:00 pm.  One hundred and sixteen parents and students participated in celebrating American Education Week and then engaging in hands-on, minds-on STEM Fair Project activities.
    Hispanic Night Heritage Extravaganza - A Celebration to Remember
    Two hundred forty-five (245) parents and children participated in this excitedly anticipated celebration of Hispanic Heritage, family night event that occurred on Thursday, October 23, 2014. 
    Annual Book Character Parade - A Human Collage of Favorite Book Characters in Costume
    Oxon Hill Elementary School's Annual Book Character Parade occurred on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the gymnasium.  Students of all grades as well as staff members dressed in costume as their favorite book character and had their book in hand as they paraded down the hallways to the gym and around the perimeter of the gym once inside. 
    Parents Gave Attentive Ear to Oxon Hill's PBIS and Student Attendance Family Night
    Oxon Hill Elementary School held its annual PBIS/Student Attendance family night on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at 7:00 pm. Over eighty (80) parents and students swelled the attendance for this very informative night.  
    Back-to-School Night at Oxon Hill ES: A Huge Success
    Over 238 parents and students attended our school's Back-to-School night on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 7:00 pm! 
    Blue Sky Puppet Theatre Presents
    Wednesday, August 27, 2014 was an exciting day at Oxon Hill Elementary School.  All students in grades kindergarten to six entered our gymnasium with great anticipation for what was to come.  The Blue Sky Puppet Theatre presented our Student Rights/Responsibility Code of Student Conduct assembly using the theme "Building Bridges and Peer Mediation for Conflict/Resolution."  
    Another Inspiring Meet and Greet Event for School Year 2014-2015
    One hundred and fifty one parents and students excitedly participated in Oxon Hill Elementary School's annual Meet and Greet Event on Thursday, August 21, 2014.  
    Oxon Hill Staff: Being Data Wise for Outstanding Academic Student Achievement
    Monday, August 18, 2014 was the celebrated day when our teachers and staff returned to work!

    Maryland Meals for Student Achievement

    Oxon Hill ES has been awarded the Maryland Meals for Student Achievement Program.
    Effective January 7, 2015, all of our students, regardless of parent income, will receive a free breakfast in their classrooms, each instructional day. Filled stomachs increase student achievement.
