The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is focused on strengthening, enhancing and encouraging the educational and social environment of Mattaponi Elementary School. We are dedicated to supplementing the school curriculum with additional opportunities for students, teachers, staff and parents to learn, socialize, communicate and grow. 

    The PTO meets monthly in the Mattaponi Elementary School Multipurpose room.  Meetings are generally held the first Tuesday of each month from 6:15pm – 7:15pm ET.  Please join us – this is a great opportunity to get access to the latest and greatest on Mattaponi-specific matters, as well as learn about upcoming PTO events and share your ideas!

    Disclosure: Please note that effective August 18, 2016, volunteers are required to complete: (1) a fingerprint background check and (2) child abuse/neglect clearance from CPS at least 14 days in advance of an activity or event.  The cost is $56.57, and Exception:  Volunteers may complete a commercial background check ($7) instead of a fingerprint check if they are escorted and under the supervision of a PGCPS employee at all times while on the school premises for a one-time event, such as career day, book fairs, school dances, etc.
