Attention Parents:
Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School in Beltsville is planning its Higher Education Day on Wednesday, February 10, 2010.
We would be pleased to have someone from your field of work share your educational experiences with us. Students look forward to this exciting day, and our speakers have said it was enjoyable and necessary to introduce children to various occupations.
The Higher Education Day schedule is from 10:30am -4:00pm. As speakers rotate to different classes, you can expect to meet with four groups of 25-35 students for 60 minutes per session. Please plan on a 40-minute presentation with 10-15 minutes for questions the students may have. Some presenters request to remain in one location due to their need to have special equipment. Please let us know if this is the case.
If you are willing to participate, you can print out a form (click here to download), complete it and fax to Ms. Hepburn at 301.931.6589. If you have questions, email andrea.hepburn@pgcps.org or call her at 301.572.0660. We will confirm your participation and finalize information by email or phone as the date draws closer.
