LEWISDALE UNIFORM POLICY

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Lewisdale Elementary continues to be a MANDATORY Uniform School. This means that STUDENTS MUST WEAR THE COMPLETE UNIFORM DAILY. Prince George’s County Schools assists parents with locating schools that do not require the wearing of uniforms. You may call (301) 952-6300 for assistance.
The uniform policy is as follows:
Girls (Pre-K thru 2nd)
- Red Tie
- White shirt long/short sleeves
- White pullover (Polo) without Tie
- Navy blue “V” jumper with pleats all around
- Navy blue pants (winter)
Girls (3rd - 5th)
- Red Tie
- White blouse long/short sleeves
- White pullover (Polo) shirt
- Navy blue skirt with pleats all around
- Navy blue pants (winter)
- Girls MUST wear the red tie with their button up blouses.
- Girls may also wear navy blue or white tights with their jumper/skirt when temperature changes.
- Girls may wear spandex shorts under their jumper/skirt.
Boys (All)
- Blue tie
- White shirt long/short sleeves
- White pullover (Polo) shirt without Tie
- Navy blue uniform (dress) pants
- Boys may wear navy blue “Bermuda” shorts
- All shirts must be worn tucked inside their pants.
- Regardless of the weather, all students must wear their uniform.
- BLUE JEANS ARE NOT a part of the designated uniform.
- For chilly days, students should be prepared to wear a navy blue sweater or jacket and girls may wear navy slacks.
- Students may wear blue or black tennis shoes, although navy or black soft sole uniform shoes are recommended.
- Parents are encouraged to buy a Red Lewisdale T-Shirt so that students may wear them on special occasions and on school field trips.
