Langley Park McCormick Elementary School 

 

UNIFORM POLICY

 

Langley Park McCormick Elementary School has a mandatory uniform policy.  ALL students are required to adhere to this policy, consisting of:

 

• White shirt:  ALL white – no logos, stitching, or other markings of any other color.  The shirt may be long sleeved or short sleeved.  “Polo” type shirts are acceptable, and may be worn outside the pant.  “Button-down” shirts may also be worn, but must be TUCKED INTO the pants. UNDERSHIRTS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE AS UNIFORM SHIRTS.

 

• Students may wear a white undershirt under their uniforms; however, the undershirt may not have any colors or designs that show throughout the white shirt.  All undershirts must be tucked into pants and not visible below the bottom of the uniform shirt.

 

• Navy Blue pants, skirts, jumpers, or shorts: NO SWEAT PANTS, NO BLUE JEANS!  Pants, skirts, jumpers, and shorts must be of a woven material.
  
  
• Black shoes (recommended) either tennis shoes or dress shoes.
  
  
• Sweaters are NOT mandatory; however, if students want to wear a sweater during class, it MUST be navy blue.  Woven sweaters fleece, and sweatshirts ARE allowed, as long as they are navy blue.

 

• Leggings may be worn under skirts and shorts, but must be solid white, black, or NAVY         BLUE only. (No patterns, stripes, etc.)

 

JEWELY

 

• Earrings may not be larger than the size of a quarter in diameter.

 

• Only ONE necklace may be worn at the collar, and must be tasteful. (Please note that Langley Park McCormick Elementary School is NOT responsible for lost jewelry.)

 

• One bracelet may be worn.

 

 

FAILURE TO DRESS ACCORDING TO UNIFORM POLICY

 

      Students will be sent to the office and given the chance to contact parents to bring the appropriate

      uniform for the student to change into.  STUDENTS WHO ARE NOT DRESSED ACCORDING TO

      UNIFORM POLICY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND CLASS.

 

      Inappropriate sweaters, jewelry, and T-shirts worn under the shirt will be confiscated; the parent

      will be allowed to retrieve them from the office.

 

      Repeated failure to dress according to the dress code is a suspendable offense.

PÓLIZA DE UNIFORMES

 

La Escuela Elemental de Langley Park McCormick tiene una póliza obligatoria de uniformes. Es requerido que TODOS los estudiantes sigan esta póliza, que consiste en:

 

• Camisas blancas: COMPLETAMENTE blancas – no pueden tener diseños u otras marcas de ningún color. Las camisas pueden ser de manga larga o corta. El estilo “Polo” es aceptable, y se puede usar por dentro o por fuera del pantalón. Las camisas de vestir también se pueden usar, pero TIENEN QUE USARSE DENTRO del pantalón. CAMISETAS NO SON ACEPTABLES COMO CAMISA DE UNIFORME.

 

• Los estudiantes pueden usar una camiseta debajo del uniforme, pero las camisetas no pueden tener ningún color o diseño que se pueda ver a través del uniforme. Todas las camisetas necesitan estar dentro del pantalón y que no se extiendan por debajo del ruedo de la camisa.

 

• Los Pantalones, las faldas, los “overoles” y los pantalones cortos deben ser color azul marino. ¡NO SE PUEDEN USAR PANTALONES DE DEPORTE NI PANTALÓN DE JEAN! Los pantalones, las faldas, los overoles y los pantalones cortos deben ser de tela que no se estira.

 

• Zapatos negros (son recomendados). Pueden ser zapatos tenis o zapatos de vestir.

 

• Suéteres NO SON obligatorios. Si el estudiante quiere usar un suéter durante la clase, TIENE que ser de color azul marino.  Suéteres, tela de lanilla, o sweatshirts SON ACEPTABLES siempre y cuando sean de color azul marino.

 

• Los “leggings”, o mallas, se puede usar debajo de la falda o pantalones cortos, pero deben ser solamente de color blanco, negro, o AZUL MARINO, y tienen que ser colores sólidos. (No pueden ser con diseños, rallas, etc.)   

 

JOYAS/PRENDAS

 

• Los aretes no pueden ser más grande del tamaño de una moneda de 25¢ en diámetro.

 

• Solamente se puede usar UN collar en el cuello, y debe ser de buen gusto. (Por favor, tome en cuenta que la escuela Langley Park McCormick  NO es responsable por ninguna joya que se pierda.)

 

• Solamente se puede usar una pulsera.

 

LO QUE VA A SUCEDER SI NO SE VISTE DE ACUERDO CON LA PÓLIZA DE UNIFORMES

 

Mandarán al estudiante a la oficina y él/ella tendrá la oportunidad de llamar a sus padres para que se le traiga el uniforme apropiado para que el estudiante se cambie de ropa. LOS ESTUDIANTES QUE NO ESTÁN VESTIDOS CON EL UNIFORME APROPIADO NO PODRÁN ASISTIR A LA CLASE.

 

Suéteres, joyas, o camisetas inapropiadas serán confiscadas. Los padres tendrán la oportunidad de venir y recoger los artículos en la oficina.

 

Ofensas repetidas de no vestirse en acuerdo con la póliza de uniforme pueden resultar en una suspensión de la escuela.
