Guidance and Counseling
The professional school counseling program at Langley Park McCormick E.S. is designed to support the students, staff, and administration at the elementary school. The counselor provides individual and group counseling to students, and conducts classroom sessions. Additionally, the counselor assists in the S.I.T. meetings and serves as a member of the P-team. The counselor provides information to families about community resources and teams with the parent liaisons as needed, in addition to other responsibilities.
I enjoy being a Professional School Counselor at Langley Park McCormick E.S! It is wonderful working with a diverse group of bilingual students who possess a positive attitude about learning. I enjoy seeing the students returning to the school to fulfill community service learning hours.
My role as the counselor also includes serving as a coordinator for various extracurricular activities, our students are involved in many academic and sports activities. Being a counselor at Langley Park McCormick E.S. is a rewarding career! The students make it special!
