TECHNOLOGY
Technology play an important role in modern society, integrating technology into the schools will help prepare students to succeed in a rapidly changing world. New research provides substantial evidence connecting the use of technology to academic achievement.
Technology education experiences in the elementary school are designed to help children learn and achieve the educational goals. These experiences orient pupils to technology, develop psychomotor skill, and provide the basis for informed attitudes about technology's influence on society. Technology-based activities, integrated into the total elementary school curriculum, motivate pupils and reinforce learning while pupils gain a technological awareness.
Langley Park-McCormick Elementary School teachers use technology in the classroom and computer lab to implement curricula in the Program of Studies. By incorporating technology in lessons and units, students are motivated to solve problems and learn interactively.
Langley Park-McCormick Elementary has two computer labs. The PC Lab has 30 computers and the Mac Lab has 20 computers. Also, we have two mobile labs.
Each classroom has 5 computers. Every teacher has Laptop, LCD projector, overhead projector, Video Visualizer and InterWrite Board.
